Nepal, also known as the Himalayan Kingdom, is now on its way to Democracy. The protests by the people against monarchy forced King Gyanendra to revive the Nepali parliament. New Delhi, June 8 (UNI) Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today called on UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and discussed the political situation in the Himalayan Kingdom after restoration of democracy.
The meeting with Ms Gandhi, who is also the Congress President, at her official 10, Janpath residence lasted for 30 minutes, AICC sources said here today.
Mr Koirala introduced six of his accompanying ministers to Ms Gandhi.
Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma was also present during the meeting at which both the leaders reiterated their parties' support to improve relationship between India and Nepal
