Ghaziabad ashram girls rescued
The Supreme Court has ordered special protection for 47 girls, after a Swami is accused of sexually abusing some of them at their orphanage near Delhi.The children were rescued and sent to a safe shelter in Mathura after an undercover NDTV reporter discovered the abuse.
The court on Monday also sought a report from the District Magistrate of Mathura on the current status of the children.
The court said no one should meet them without the permission of the magistrate.
Baba Balnath who ran the orphanage in Ghaziabad has been placed in judicial custody for two weeks.
